v1.1July 2026
Smoother cursor, smarter zoom
This one is all about how the camera and cursor move. Recordings made with earlier versions pick up every improvement automatically — just reopen them.
Cursor smoothing is now in sync with your clicks — the smoothed pointer used to trail behind and arrive after the click had already happened. It now lands exactly on the click, at any smoothing level.
Click effects fire on the click — the ring/ripple/shockwave used to start animating before you clicked. It now bursts at the moment of the click, right under the pointer.
Click effect size & intensity sliders — tune how far the effect spreads and how strongly it shows, per scene.
Zoom is one camera move now — zooming used to magnify at the middle of the screen, then slide over to the cursor. The camera now travels toward the cursor as it zooms, like a real camera operator.
Zoom speed control — a new slider sets how fast the camera zooms in and out, and every zoom block on the timeline can override it with its own speed.
Fewer knobs — two zoom sliders whose effect you couldn't actually see are gone. What's left does what it says.
v1.0May 2026
Welcome to CursorFlow
The first release — a native macOS recorder that makes your screen recordings look produced, automatically. Here's what you get on day one:
Automatic zoom — your clicks become smooth, cinematic camera moves, no editing required. Add or fine-tune any zoom by hand.
Multi-track capture — record screen, webcam, microphone and system audio, each editable on its own track.
Real-time editor — what you see while editing is exactly what you export, and your original recording is never changed.
Trim, split & cut — slice and dice on a smooth, easy-to-use timeline.
Teleprompter — read your script while recording; it never shows up in the final video.
Webcam your way — circle, square or custom shapes with masks, plus automatic background removal — no green screen.
Privacy masks — blur or block sensitive areas, and surround an element so the mask follows it as the screen scrolls.
Crop & three orientations — 16:9, vertical 9:16 (Shorts, Reels, TikTok) and 1:1 square, ready for YouTube or feed posts.
Custom backgrounds & window frames — make every recording look finished and on-brand.
Background music with ducking — the music dips automatically whenever you speak.
Captions & transcription — built on Apple's Speech framework, runs on your Mac for languages with on-device support. Pick the language per recording, or fall back to your device locale.
Keystroke & shortcut display — show the keys you press, positioned where you want them.
Flexible export — any format from quick-share to high-quality master, plus a written summary and caption files.
Fast & private — a simple, minimal interface, a keyboard shortcut for every action, and everything stays on your Mac.
